Earthline extend Terex Finlay J-1175 fleet
Aggregates firm purchases three more mobile jaw crushers to meet growing demand for materials
A FLEET of Terex Finlay J-1175 jaw crushers are currently proving their worth at sites across Oxfordshire. Aggregate suppliers Earthline have purchased three more machines from Finlay Plant SW – part of the Finlay Group of companies – for their Shipton, Hatford and Shellingford quarries.
All three sites produce high-quality limestone and bespoke J-1175 machines have been delivered to each of the locations to enhance crushing operations and support increased demand for processed products.
The machines were selected based on the performance of existing J-1175 units which already operate at the quarries, although Earthline worked with Gareth Johnson, managing director of Finlay Plant SW, to introduce their own modifications to the J1175s, to meet their exact needs.
The bespoke additions – including a more compact hopper configuration and high-specification rubber hopper base – were carried out by Finlay Group’s own engineering team. A constant-speed engine was also chosen to avoid the need to add diesel exhaust fluid.
Based near Marlborough, Wiltshire, Earthline specialize in contract earthmoving, landfill facilities and aggregate supplies. Steve Wiltshire, a site manager with the company, said: ‘The new Terex Finlay J-1175s do a very good job for us and provide good value for money. The machines are backed up with great support on site from Finlay Plant SW.’
The Terex Finlay J-1175 is a high-performance tracked mobile jaw crusher. Incorporating a Terex Jaques JW42 jaw crusher and heavy-duty vibrating grizzly feeder, the machine is designed for optimum production in a range of applications. Its compact size, quick set-up times, ease of transport and simple maintenance make it particularly suitable for quarrying, mining, demolition and recycling environments.
In addition to the three J-1175 machines, Earthline have also recently added two Terex Finlay 883 screens and an 883 Spaleck unit to their existing Terex Finlay fleet.
Gareth Johnson said: ‘The J-1175s are working exceptionally well and playing a key part in operations to ensure high-value products are processed with maximum output. They form part of an extensive fleet of Terex Finlay plant providing a high-performance, perfectly matched-up system.’
